Do you enjoy being here?
:iconessencestudios:: Why yes, thank you, I am enjoying being here very much! The decor is certainly very 'interesting'
:icondasghul:: What do you think is the most "interesting" part about it?
:iconessencestudios:: well the plants are nice :iconshrubberyplz: and the view is lovely: :iconoooohplz: but the hooks in the ceiling and drain in the floor ...well they clash with the curtains :iconaahplz:
:icondasghul:: I agree! Do you see that dead piece of meat still hanging up there? That has been my personal room decorator!
But anyway, please, do not feel disturbed by that anyhow, nono!
Instead, why not talk about something more delightful and fluffy here!
Like KITTIES!!! :iconsexyseriouscatplz::iconkissykissycatplz::iconcatclapplz::iconkittykeyboardplz:
What is your opinion on KITTIES?

The Saga of the Somnambulists - Part 4Hello everyone! The Saga of the Somnambulists - Part 4 by Somnambulist-Aisle
Be greeted to the next part of the story! Before we get started, I have a few things to say. This story now has reached a lenght of over 8300 words now (without tags and such stuff)! I put a lot of effort and creativity in this and I hope, you will like it as much, as I do. I also have to announce, that the final story will consist of 7 parts (the magical fable number!) and I will release an eBook for this! I'll make a PDF file for everyone to download for free with much bigger artworks, than a journal allows me to do! But we still have a ghoulish badguy to take down, aren't we? So let's get started!
If you missed the previous parts, check this out:

Language of FlowersYou wove Forget-me-nots
in my hair, each one
a promise offered,
like the dandelion kisses
you place behind my ear,
wild and full of wishes.
Your fingers the velveteen
touch of rose petals upon
my skin awakens my senses,
each of your words adds
another link to the daisy
chains you bind around my
I see the hyacinth
in your eyes,
brimming with sorrow
and joy for a love
that once died
but now blooms
ChangeLooking back can be so hard,
the road ahead full of pitfalls,
things to derail you.
Things to destroy you...
but you can't stay, either.
In a night where the scent of a withering flower brings serenity, where the sound of the weeping souls stuck between the layers of the rotten, peeled walls brings infatuation, the piercing light of the burning candle reflects in the velvet red color of the blood drops that slowly and gently slide down the dry lips that are the only mildly tempting thing on her disgusting face…. An artist would find beauty in the disfigured lines that are so imperfectly scattered on her head, a lonely man would find a fragile creature that needs protection from the world and a possible mate, a “normal” person would find a monster, me on the other hand I find neither… However unpleasant the sight of her face is I like to believe that every line, every scar has a story to tell… I see pain, suffering. I see the last light in her eyes trying to hold on and in that light I see her desire to live. It doesn't matter now…. In a few moments
To My Kieran...To My Son, Kieran,
As I watch you sleep peacefully in your crib, unaware of the evil’s lurking in the world, I think about the journey my life took. Yes, I carried you inside me for nine months, but our journey began long before your conception. When, or even if, you would come, I did not know. I prayed every day that I could, but the unknown was taking its toll on my heart. Years passed and slowly you began to fade from my thoughts as I attempted to protect myself from the pain. My past brought circumstances and words that broke me, and there was very little I could do to fight against them. They were overwhelming. The world seemed to be against me, but soon I realized that you were waiting for the right time to come. Now that I have you in my arms, all that I went through to bring me to this wonderful point in my life has been worth all the trials and tribulations I had endured. I want you to know how much of a blessing you truly are, and how much I love you.
So many things sto
Half I will
half my face,
between layers of entwined hair,
deep in a veil of tides.
her own half,
behind the obsidian night,
where shadows prey
winged black creatures.
Riding down country roads
to local farms on a Saturday
with my granddad
to see equipment auctions
as the old boys cashed in
Standing there in bib overalls or Dickies
with their dark glasses on
smoking pipes and cigars
they'd talk politics or crops
their deep voices rumbling quietly
I was enthralled...listening to the auctioneer
rattle off prices at breakneck speed
for a Farmall tractor going once
Sold to the man in front...
Or grandpa would take me with him
to the local VFW Post 6464
on Thursday evenings
to play Euchre with his friends
I'd bring along a few dog-eared
Reader's Digest magazines to read
as they played
Every so often I would walk over and
say hi, see how grandpa was faring
Usually he was cleaning house
winning almost every hand he played in
The ladies would bring a cake
and we'd have that with coffee
It felt...comfortable in a way
I find hard to explain
Sitting there surrounded by veterans
men who still wore those black-rimmed glasses
and their hair was
Silent CompanionHe sat in front of his bedroom wall, staring at the dark shape before him. The creature, brought to life by the night light plugged into the opposite wall, remained unheard. In its silence, it watched him and his every move, mimicking each little movement perfectly. Its presence expected, yet fearful in the mind of a lonesome child. Tonight, his dreams had abandoned him, despite several attempts to call them forth. So he sat facing the shape, and fashioned his fingers in various designs and characters in the darkness, bringing them to life on the wall. Several minutes passed, or perhaps hours, but his fingers grew weary. Bored of the play which had amused for so long, he sighed and stared once again at the wall.
He rose to his feet and placed his hands flat against the wall, connecting himself to his silent friend. The wall was cold to the touch, but he remained undeterred in his quest. A single finger traced the creature's outline, being as careful as he could so he did not cause his
ButterfliesDrawn from flower to flower,
Following the scent unnoticed,
Unobserved and disregarded,
As the storm grows stronger.
Fluttering lightly on the breeze
Seizing each and every small gap,
Erratic flight to places unseen.
Through small doors,
Small holes in the hearts of widows.
Gossamer fabric of life,
The whisper of wings,
Torn by the beautiful sighting.
Where dark thoughts have been.
They flurry of airy action,
Into spacious cages,
Escape, an act so courageous,
Caught, frozen in motion.
A Lesson of Love"Love is painful, burning, destructive. Love is caring, nurturing, and empowering.
Love is a dual-edged sword, with the ability to build and destroy.
Love is the nature of the heart that we dare to employ.
Love is the touch, the feel, the drug. Love is the pain, the anger, the sadness...the tears.
Love accepts all who open the doors to it, it beckons with every passing second.
There are some who don't know love, who've never have. There are some who know it well, and fear it's power. Then there are the ones who bravely dive in headfirst, knowing full well the ramifications of that which drives us mad...insanely and intimatly each day diving deeper into it's warmth. Lose not that which you feel, lose hate ...for hate is even stronger than an atom bomb, but I assure you....Love is far much worse. Don't be afraid of love, or you may never live"
