Our Creator would never have made such lovely days, and have
given us the deep hearts to enjoy them, above and beyond all thought, unless
we were meant to be immortal.

I award full points for Vision, because the contrast of the title "immortal" coupled with the image of something traditionally known for its evanescent nature, then linked to the quote by Nathaniel Hawthorne makes it clear the artist put a lot of thought into the presentation of this photo. I think it's safe to say it's highly unlikely that after such efforts, the artist failed to achieve his vision before deciding to display his work publicly.
This photo's low Originality score is, in a way, no fault of the artist. Photographs of flowers are so plentiful that none are, in and of themselves, original. Unfortunately, the use of a flower to underscore or juxtapose a message on the (im)permanent nature of life is also commonplace.
As for technique, I like what the artist has done with the background: blurred everything out completely so that one can only observe the subject. But focusing all attention on the flower comes with a price: a premium is placed on clarity. For whatever reason, even when enlarged, the details of the flower are not sharp. Therefore, Technique is good, but far from perfect.
Finally, the photo has impact. The pink makes me feel cheerful, the gray mutes it to a softer joy. The quote by Hawthorne adds points by inspiring the viewer to contemplate more deeply about the beauty of the work.
